Philippe Stoll works at the intersection between technologies and armed conflicts for the ICRC International Committee of the Red Cross. He engages with governments, the academic, the humanitarian and the private sector with the objective to better protect people affected by armed conflicts from the impact of AI, cyber warfare, digital surveillance, hate speech or autonomous weapon systems. Philippe was based in Sierra Leone, Israel and the Occupied Territories, India, and conducted field missions in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Lebanon, Ethiopia and in Ukraine. He works with artists such as Marta Revuelta, Pascal Greco, Kid Chocolat or Lauren Huret and cultural institutions such as Photo Elysée, Antigel Festival, Pyxis and HEAD-Genève. His public speaking engagements include the World Economic Forum in Davos, the European Humanitarian Forum in Brussels, the Asia-Pacific Senior Editors Conference in Manilla, the Paris Peace Forum, DocuDays in Kyiv, the Expo 2020 in Dubai, the Stockholm Internet forum and many other international conferences.
