Digital Dilemmas
Philippe Stoll
«Digital Dilemmas» is a first person experience that sheds light on the impact of digital technologies in armed conflicts and on civilian populations. It speaks about artificial “intelligence”, weapons, biometrics, cyberattacks, disinformation and deepfakes. As these issues are often complex, intangible or unknown, the installation gives a short, emotional and concrete understanding of a growing concern and what can be done to tackle it. Developed by the International Committee of the Red Cross, «Digital Dilemmas» was displayed at the UN headquarters in New York, at the War Memorial Museum of Seoul, at the EPFL Pavilion in Lausanne, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, in Teheran, Kigali, Washington D.C., Vienna, Beijing, Dubai, Luxembourg, Nairobi and is now permanently featured at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva.
The experience is not recommended for people below the age of 16 and for those with photosensitivity due to flashy and shaky footage.
