Prof. Dr. Effy Vayena is a bioethicist and Full Professor at ETH Zurich, where she holds the inaugural Chair of Bioethics. Her Health Ethics and Policy Lab addresses the ethical challenges posed by digital health technologies, genomics, and AI, from theoretical frameworks to concrete policy recommendations. Vayena has advised the WHO on digital health ethics and is a Faculty Associate at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center. Since January 2026, she serves as ETH Zurich's Vice President for Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations.
