Born in Genoa, Sofia Borsani left behind sociology and philosophy to study acting at ZHdK Zurich University of the Arts and the HMT Rostock University of Music and Drama. As a student, she joined the Schauspielhaus Zurich, collaborating with Lily Sikes, Jan Bosse, and Herbert Fritsch, and was invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen with Stefan Pucher's «Ein Volksfeind». Between 2022 and 2025, she belonged to the ensemble at Theater Neumarkt in Zurich. Borsani teaches acting at ZHdK Zurich University of the Arts, holds a grant from the Armin-Ziegler-Stiftung, and moves between stage and screen.
