Laurenz L. Meier is a professor of work and organizational psychology at the UZH University of Zurich. His research lies at the intersection of organizational, social, and personality psychology. His main areas of focus are work pressure and health, work-life conflict, counterproductive behavior in the workplace, and self-esteem and narcissism in the work context. His most influential work includes meta-analyses on the relationship between work-family conflict and stress, as well as studies on «illegitimate tasks» as a source of stress in the workplace. With over 15,000 citations and more than 76 publications, he is one of the most cited researchers in his field.
