Gordan Savičić is an artist, educator, engineer and researcher who examines how digital systems shape society. He pursued media art studies in his birthplace Vienna and at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. His art makes visible the hidden digital systems that increasingly govern daily life, from data collection to automated decision-making and surveillance. Savičić creates interactive installations, software art, and critical provocations that bridge online and offline experience. His work has been exhibited at international festivals and institutions, including ZKM Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe, Laboral Gijon and Seoul Biennale in South Korea. Savičić has received multiple awards and honorary mentions, including from transmediale, Rhizome, and Ars Electronica. He is an active collaborator, working with collectives like Weise7 in Berlin to organize workshops, exhibitions, and publications. Savičić currently holds a teaching position at the HSLU Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where he mentors students in digital design and critical approaches to technology.
