Berlin-based artist Boris Eldagsen studied philosophy and visual arts at the Art Academies of Mainz, Prague, and Hyderabad. Since 2000 his photomedia work has been shown internationally in institutions and festivals including ACP Artspace Contemporary Program Sydney, EMAF European Media Art Festival Osnabrück, Edinburgh Art Festival, ELEKTRA Montréal, BACC Bangkok, and the Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Since 2004, Boris has lectured on art, creativity and AI at international art academies and institutions. He is currently teaching the course «AI for Creatives» at LABASAD Barcelona School for Art & Design. As one of the few internationally recognized experts in AI-generated images and videos, Boris Eldagsen is a regular guest at panel discussions and events such as TEDx, World AI Conference Shanghai and C2 Montréal. His refusal of the Sony World Photo Awards in April 2023 made him a poster boy of the AI debate and led to the article «The picture that stopped the world» in «The Guardian».
