Andreas Kohli

Andreas Kohli is an art teacher, designer, and a professor at the ZHdK Zurich University of the Arts, where he teaches in the Bachelor of Arts Education at the Department of Cultural Analysis and in transdisciplinary modules. His teaching explores the tension between real and virtual spaces – how digital tools shape our perception of reality, and how urban environments transform under digital pressure. He has a particular interest in creative coding and artificial “intelligence”, and methods of artistic practice. He has led numerous cultural projects in Europe and South Africa, and initiated the international collaboration «Accidental Tourist Guide» (2016–2017) with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Aalto University Helsinki – a project exploring gentrification, transculturality, and the gap between Google Street View and lived urban experience. Andreas works as a designer at Belleville AG in Zurich.
