Alexander Mordvintsev is a researcher and artist best known for originating «DeepDream», the algorithm that first visualized the internal hallucinations of neural networks. His current work focuses on how complexity forms within artificial systems. Moving beyond standard machine learning approaches, Alexander treats code as a living medium. He applies the principles of developmental biology – how organisms build themselves – to computer science, creating digital entities capable of growth, self-repair, and adaptation. His goal is to find the minimal rules required for structure and intelligence to organize itself from the bottom up. By simulating the mechanics of evolution and the processes that shape living forms, Alexander studies the universal patterns that govern systems of all kinds, suggesting that the natural and the artificial are merely different configurations of the same fundamental fabric.
