Christoph Heitz is Professor of AI and Society at the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Coming from a data science background, he concentrates on responsible AI, particularly algorithmic fairness and non-discrimination. He co-founded and presides over the Data Innovation Alliance, Switzerland's national network for creating value from data, as well as the European Association for Algorithmic Fairness. His research is deeply interdisciplinary, drawing on philosophy, ethics, psychology, marketing, management, and service design to develop AI that is both trustworthy and rooted in social realities.
